Absolute means that this essence was produced via solvent extraction (versus steam distillation). Alcohol is used in this process.

Powerful wound cleanser and blood coagulant.  Excellent for facial skin health and toning, also skin cancers and skin tags. Comes in both Steam Distilled (thin viscosity) and Absolute (thick viscosity).  Call for guidance if you are not sure which type is more suited to your needs.  As the Steam Distilled is much more commonly used, we will fill your order with Steam Distilled Cistus unless we have spoken, and you have requested the Absolute, OR if you request Absolute in the Comments Section of the Shopping Cart order form.
